A Company with History
 Galvanizing and powder coating are the two most effective ways to prolong the service life and enhance the aesthetics of steel and aluminum structures. As a world leader in steel and aluminum poles for lighting, power and communication, Valmont recognized early on the value of leading the industry in galvanizing and coatings as well. The Valley, Nebraska, galvanizing facility for many years met the Company's need for the high quality hot-dip galvanizing that made Valmont irrigation products the industry standard for dependability and durability.
During the 1990s, Valmont acquired existing facilities and built new ones to meet the growing demand for galvanizing, both internally and from other manufacturers. The Company built new galvanizing plants in West Point, Nebraska and Tulsa, Oklahoma and acquired three galvanizing operations in Utah, Oregon and California. This internal growth and these acquisitions helped fulfill the Company's internal galvanizing needs at various locations in North America and, at the same time, served the growing worldwide demand for galvanizing.
Today, Valmont provides galvanizing and coating services that extend the service life and aesthetics of everything from computer parts and flashlights to giant monopoles and components used in space exploration. Valmont's galvanizing and coating operations continue the tradition of encouraging innovation and increasing value for customers around the world. |
